Ashief Ahmed is a senior cybersecurity professional, architect, and educator with over sixteen years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, and the cybersecurity domain. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed over 150 IT projects as a project manager and project owner, delivering results aligned with strategic organizational objectives.

He formerly served as the Chief Information Security Officer for a Fortune 500 company, managing a team of 69 members and overseeing security for 42 clients. Ashief has worked with over 100 companies across North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe to build their overall infrastructure in IT and security domains. His extensive corporate background includes key architecture and leadership roles at organizations such as the Bank of Canada, BMO Financial Group, and the British Columbia Provincial Health Services Authority.

As an avid educator, Ashief has been conducting IT and cybersecurity training since 2013, having trained over 3000 professionals globally. He has taught cybersecurity and IT courses across nine colleges and universities in North America, including the University of Calgary and Vancouver Community College. Furthermore, he has authored and refined core modules for the Official CISSP Curriculum under contract with ISC2 and served as a certified trainer for ISACA, PECB, and CompTIA.

Ashief holds a master’s in information technology and an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Dhaka, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. He is a dedicated professional development enthusiast who has achieved 92 certifications in IT, Security, and Cloud domains, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CCSP, with plans to earn 13 more by the end of 2026.
